The rule behind every result is plain arithmetic. Bedtime mode runs the same equation in reverse, so it adds instead of subtracts: Wake time = Bedtime + 14 min + (Cycles × 90 min). Get into bed at 11:00 PM and 5 cycles gives 11:00 PM + 14 min + 7 h 30 m = 6:44 AM.
The 90-minute cycle length and the 14-minute latency are both averages you can change. If you consistently wake groggy on the default, nudge the cycle length toward 100 or 110 minutes and the whole schedule recalculates around the new value. Common Sleep-Timing Mistakes
